Subaru your T3

Post by james72 on Mon 27 Jul - 10:33

This a current project, so updates will be as things progress. This is my brother Matt's van, after helping convert my van last year, and me endlessly harping on about how great T3's are, he has finally accepted the inevitable and bought a van.

Very early stages but this is the story so far:

1985 Panel Van Ebay special £200, compete with non running 3500 mile remtec engine ! And a Bluebird stainless exhaust.

Complete engine with all ancillaries and exhaust sold for £250, so £50 to the good so far Smile

Donor

1993 Subaru SVX 3.3 with current MOT. full leather, Blaupunkt Woodstock DAB, Private Plate and adjustable Koni's. £1011. ebay again Very Happy

Lump Exclamation

Strip it down and sell all the bits that you don't need

So far, £440 for the rear diff and brakes and suspension. £244 for the plate. Very Happy

Started to give the engine a bit of a clean up

Heated electric seat's are going in the Van

Going to be using RJES bell housing with a turbo clutch set up. RJES will also be doing the wiring loom. Got a DK box lined up.

Obviously few quid to spend at RJES and sorting the brakes, suspension and a respray in the original blue, but bearing in mind the total net cost so far is £277, we could be looking at a sub £2k total cost, depending on how carried away he gets Wink

Bell housing and loom have arrived from RJES, also using the RJES input shaft so the Turbo clutch set up can be used.
