Yarp, I am here. Howdy from Taunton.

My name is Mark, but most call me Lokes.

I own a 69 beetle (1 owner from new) and a 71 high-top bay called Heidi, Heidi Hi top (geddit)!!

I run the volkswerke web site, www.volkswerke.co.uk, a very good air cooled garage in Taunton, some of you may already know Derek.

We have a club called the Volkswest Crewzers, gay name I know but I didn't chose it, but we all get on and we all love air cooled, sorry, early Vee Dubs, have to say that now coz of all you brick drivers, future classic my arse!!!

Any hoo that's me, a balding 35 year old that has been driving around, breaking down and generally freezing my nads off since 1989 and my first beetle.

but I think it`s opening a can of worms regarding weather our bricks are `classic` as I think your a bit out numbered with bricks on here at the moment, but pull up a chair and lets discuss.

trouble is like this........ It started off with air-cooled only and now T 25 (or T3 depending on your side of the pond) are creeping into the scene and they are often hailed as future classics, my arse!!
I've owned a T 25, a rather lovely south african import with the 2.1 lump and power steering, he was ok but didn't really float my boat as much as my bay, buggy or beetle. I think that although some T 25 are cool and very much more practical that is it they are practical and the scene started and remains firnly rooted with air cooled, i'm not saying your a bad person for owning one, just that your opinion is wrong!!! lol Razz

Opinion's everyone got one, if we all liked the same stuff it would be a bit shit, it's not cool to knock other people dub's, on a non specific forum though. Clicky "scene" tosser's bother me
