Stick on a EGR blanking plate
I'm a complete biff at this stuff, but it was easy with a few hints from the T4Forum. Heres the phots I took of the process...
Remove the intercooler bolts, move to side (you need to take off the big fat pipe on the left)
Sight the EGR valve inlet - same shape as the blanking plate.
Undo the two allen bolts and pull away.
Slide the plate in and gently do up hand tight.
Put everything else back on, the intercooler and that big fat pipe and Roberts yer mum's brother.
The guy selling on eBay reckons you don't need another gasket, Baxter on Brickworks reckons you need 1 new gasket and the bloke on the T4Forum reckons you need 2 new ones. I'll probably go with baxter as he knows his stuff and order a new one to fit later.
The effect is apparantly better performance and better MPG according to some. It also cleans the manifold inlet after a few miles so it improves the engine by stopping it gunking up.

Nice how to chap!
Also worth taking off whole egr assembly and cleaning with a wooden scraper and a can of brake/carb cleaner. My inlet hole was about 20% blocked *snigger*
