Ok, im a bit thick with the old aircooled stuff, but in building this Fugitive Rail, which ive put a 1600 TP engine in. Now what tinware do i need to keep? Ive chopped of the heat exchanger ports from the Fanhouse and welded them up. Also I need to keep the thermostat and linkeage? scratch

On a rail there is little point in having the thermostat. It is designed to open the flap behind the dynamo when hot, and keep it closed when cool.

As you will be getting loads of air around your lump I would shut the flap off totally.

If I was you I'd keep all the tin ware under and over your barrels, keep the fin tin and ditch the rest.

Hope this helps you
